Recognising that a healthy body and a peaceful mind are essential components of empowerment, HemAth places great emphasis on yoga as a holistic practice to foster both physical and mental well-being.
HemAth regularly organises yoga sessions designed to suit varying skill levels, providing an accessible way for women to maintain a balanced lifestyle.
HemAth offers weekly yoga sessions every Sunday, taught by:
– Ms. Karuna Dhar Munshi, a certified “Art of Living” teacher, focusing on meditation, breathing techniques, and relaxation.
–Ms. Renu Wokhlu, a self-taught yoga practitioner, building confidence in women to practice yoga at home.
Through these yoga programs, HemAth empowers women by improving their physical strength, emotional resilience, and overall well-being.
HemAth provides women with a safe, confidential channel for mental health support.
–Access to Counseling: Private and confidential counseling via WhatsApp by Dr. Neelma Dhar Bhan, a board-certified psychiatrist from Canada. Support areas: mental health, stress, or personal challenges.
–Holistic Mental Health Focus: By addressing mental health in a secure and supportive environment, HemAth ensures that its participants can cultivate the mental clarity and emotional stability necessary for their personal growth.
HemAth organises yearly two-day medical camps at Vitasta Hospital in Rajindar Nagar, Jammu, to provide essential healthcare services to the community. These camps offer consultations with specialists in fields such as nephrology, oncology, gynecology, urology, gastroenterology, and more.
